Global Options has launched an Air AMS system in our New York office enabling us to more quickly and easily file air manifests and speed up the process for our clients. Global Options' Air AMS service provides airlines with a single point for all AMS house bill data in their required file format.
For the Air AMS system, Global Options developed additional functionality for our purpose-built Global Options Engine software. The application is now able to select the specific data required from the raw information of a Hawb (House airway bill) and airline manifest and reduce it down to a basic file for electronic transmission to the New York office. It is then downloaded direct into US CBP's (Customs Border Patrols) computerised clearance system, allowing customs officers at NYACC (New York Air Courier Centre) to receive advance notification of all of our courier material due to arrive with them for clearance four hours before the flight touches down on US soil.
